Pregnant mothers in rescue camps advised enter hospital
The director general of heath services Dr Palitha Maheepala issuing a communique had advised all displaced pregnant mothers who are housed in rescue camps owing to the floods and who are nearing their expecting dates to proceed and
enter the nearest hospital.
This has been announced as most rescue camps who house displace persons are located in places where the roads are not motorable.Hence at a time of an emergency the pregnant mothers would find difficult to travel to a closest hospital.
However the director general of health services had added that ambulances have been places at points covering most rescue camps for displaced persons and all facilities have been provided.They would act swiftly at any time of an emergency.
