Mahinda's war commemoration celebrations on 19th cancelled

The war commemoration celebration that was arranged at Kurunegala on the 19th instant has been cancelled.

The cancellation of this huge event had been conveyed by the Member of Parliament for the Kurunegala district Johnson Fernando.This decision had been taken because of the prevalent

inclement weather.

It has been told that a large number of people were to attend this event and it is held would inconvenience them owing to the unpredictable inclement weather.The commemoration celebrations were to be held with the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa as the chief guest.
