Magistrate Thilina Gamage interdicted

The other day it was published in the media that the Additional Magistrate himself had defied police orders and had absconded from furnishing a statement to them twice when asked to do so. This had been  as he had in his possession a baby elephant with proper certificates to keep one. What

was reported that was Thilina Gamage had possessed fictitious documents in relation to the allegation made.

However he has been requested to make a statement in this connection.In the meantime he has received interdiction orders from the officials of the Judiciary Services Commission.

It is reported that in the event his charges are not proved his interdiction orders would be removed so that he could continue with his position as Additional Magistrate of the Colombo Magistrates courts.However if the charges are proceed he would not be able to continue in his field according to the prevalent laws.
