Certain high class ladies and gentleman not willing to accept flood relief

After the heavy rains and the flooding of the Kelani river certain areas some houses of affluent personnel in Kolonnawa, Thimbirigasyaya and Kotte  in the Colombo district too had been affected with roads under water. The authorities of the Disaster Management centre having known that they were affected had taken flood relief articles. But some affluent ladies and gentlemen had refused to accept them for some reason not known to them.

These same families it has been revealed had stayed starving along with the children despite they were offered with flood relief. However the officials of the Disaster Management centre had informed that any person who needs relief to call them on the telephone number 011 2665258 and that they would be too glad to provide anyone who needs flood relief items.
