Pujith Jayasundara appointed as the new Inspector General of Police

Today at 3 pm within the parliamentary premises the three nominees who were nominated by the constitutional council were present ,one to be appointed as the new Inspector General of Police.

All three nominees were senior Deputy Inspector Generals of Police.They were Chandana Wickremaratne, Pujith Jayasundara and the acting Inspector General senior DIG

According to the views and fancies of the  members of the constitutional council the senior deputy inspector of Police Pujitha Jayasundara was preferred as  as the new Inspe onfirmed the appointment.
