Minister John Amaratunga had participated in a ceremony in Sigiriya. At the completion of the ceremony a media personnel had asked the minister whether it is true that he is to be arrested

for ordering to demolish the walking tracks constructed at Wattala Mabola area.

The Minister had told to the media personnel, let them arrest my back side.

Immediately he had told the particular media personnel that he had said it that the part of the  land where the walking tracks were constructed belongs o a private party and that is the reason he had said it that way.
