How the April holidays are given to the respective schools?

The authorities of the  ministry of education have announced that all government schools and all private schools under the purview of the government would close on the 08th April for the Sinhala/Tamil new year. All these schools would reopen on the 26th April.

All Muslim schools would have a short April holiday from the 11th April to the 16th April and would close again on the 18th April for the second term until the June 02nd. For Ramazan fast the Muslim schools would close from the June 06th to the 06th of July.
