Foreign base-jumper hospitalized after fall from WTC

With the aim of promoting tourism in Sri Lanka a  parachuting exhibition was held centering the world trade centre premises in the afternoon of yesterday the 03rd instant.

A foreigner had unfortunately had fallen when his parachute had failed to unfold and had instead of

the target had fallen on to the roof of the Hilton Hotel.

He has been identified as a 44 year old Australian national.He had been admitted to the Colombo national hospital where X rays and other reports had been taken.The reason for the debacle was as the parachute had not unfolded.
