Tooth extracted GCE student commits suicide after results were released

A sixteen year old student who was unhappy after her GCE ordinary level results were released had committed suicide by hanging in her room in her residence.

She had been a student in the Madabaddara Tamil Vidyalaya and a resident of Kiriella Galathura

Madabaddara estate housing scheme.The deceased is sixteen year old Asokanathan Vasapriya.After the GCE results were released she had been very upset and worried as she had expected for mush better results as she had performed well.When the reeults were released she had passed only in five of the nine subjects.

She has one elder brother, one elder sister and another younger brother.When her mother ,father and brothers and sister had gone from home on the morning of the 23rd instant she had committed suicide by hanging in a room of their dwelling house. She had closed all windows and doors in the house.A few days ago she had gone to a dentist who had extracted a  decayed tooth.Owing to the silence in the house the neighbours had thought she was resting after her tooth extraction.

Sub Inspector of Police Dharmasena of the Kiriella police and his team are  conducting further investigations into the cause of death by committing suicide.
