Police operations underway to arrest Kondaya ....

on allegation of having abused cow!

Saman Jayalath was convicted as having been found guilty over the murder of Seya Sandewmi and what takes place now over those who spoke against the police after being subjected to suspicion, is somewhat suspicious.

A 17 year old student was taken into custody sometime back on an allegation of drugs while a fresh

piece of news has now emerged about Kondaya. The police have launched an operation on trying to arrest him saying that he had entered a property in Gampaha in the nude and had been behaving indecently.

The police have received a complaint to the effect that Kondaya had entered the property of a certain retired Navy officer in Baduwatugoda area, Bemmulla, Gampaha and the said retired Navy officer had heard the cow in his property making a din day-before-night (19) around 8.30 in the night. The complaint says that when he had gone there and enquired about the noise, Kondaya who had been near this cow had beat a retreat. It was also stated in the complaint that the neck region of the cow was found tightly bound and that the suspect had abnormally tortured the animal.

Later when the garden was inspected, some clothing belonging to Kondaya as well as lingerie were detected. It was further said that two daughters of the Navy officer too were residing in this house and that about a month before this some tiles on the roof of one of his daughter's room had been found removed. The householders had said that Kondaya is suspected about this crime too.

Since Kondaya also is a resident of the same area and also because his figure was seen across the media in the recent past, the complainant was able to distinguish very easily that it is Kondaya who was in his garden. Police enquiries are underway.
