Asgiri Mahanayake passes away

The most  venerable Mahanayake thera of the Asigiri chapter of the Siyam Nikaya Galagama Sri Aththtadassi thera has passed away.

After a sudden fall the Mahanayake thera had
been admitted to the Teaching hospital Kandy for treatment in the evening.

The director of the Teaching hospital Saman Ratnayake had added that at the time the Mahanayake thera was admitted he had been a state of unconsciousness. However he had passes away after a few hours.

At the time of his demise he had been 96 years old.
