Sicille Kotalawela arrested upon arrival at BIA

The criminal police authorities have reported that wife of  Lalith Kotalawela the  Chairman of Ceylinco group of Companies, Sicille Kotalawela had ben arrested when she was returning from a flight
at the Bandaranaike International airport  yesterday afternoon.

It is reported that after the Golden Key Company  had crashed to avoid meeting the  depositors she had fled the country a number of years back.

In order to arrest her even the International police ,Interpol had issued open warrants. She had fled arounf year 2009 and had lived in London had returned to Sri Lanka via a flight from Dubai.The immigration and emigration authorities had arrested her and handed over to the CID.

AMN Ranasinghe the controller of immigration and emigration had this to say:

They had come to know via their systems that Sicille Kotalwela was returning to Sri Lanka.Then he had deployed some officers at the BIA to arrest her and then handed over to her to the CID.
