Inefficiency and delay in government sector is owing to mobiles and Face Book

The General Secretary of the  all island government, local government trade union federation Ajith K.Thilakeratne has explained the reason for the delay  and inefficiency in the service in the government sector.

He had added that for a day 60% of the government service employees devote  around two hours a day on operating their mobile phones for calls and Face Book page activities and they in total do not work for 40 hours in a calendar month. He had said that this had been revealed in a discreet investigation made in this regard.

Logging into the social web site,  Face Book pages by the government employees  has caused an impact for the obvious inefficient service rendered by them.

In the context of the above the government trade union federation has written to the President ,Prime Minister and the related Minister to take action to curb this drastic situation.
