Hirunika taken into police custody!

MP Hirunika Premachandra to whom charges were levelled against regarding the matter relating to the abduction of a person recently has

been taken into police custody this morning (9).

Though a team of Mrs. Hirunika Premachandra's security personnel had barged into a business spot in Dematagoda area and had abducted a certain person who was working there, criticisms were published against Hirunika being not taken into custody in connection with that incident and that the delay for it was because of an involvement of a political hand. In any case, this arrest had been carried out on instructions given by the Attorney-general to the Colombo Crime Division. Officers of the Colombo Crime Division had taken her into custody early this morning when she had been at a house down Havelock Place which is understood to be owned by her.
