Udaya Gammanpila's "Bayi - Toyi" speech

'Toyias' have got more despondent today than 'Bayias' ....

Raise black flags to commemorate January 8th
Udaya Gammanpila's "Bayi - Toyi" speech

What MP Udaya Gammanpila said yesterday (28) joining in at a media discussion was that more than Mahinda-supporting 'Bayias', 'Toyias' who worked to bring victory to the incumbent
government are disappointed by now. He also requested that black flags be raised on 8th to commemorate the darkest day, throughout that week. Udaya Gammanpila said: "There's only 11 more days for the darkest day, January 8th to dawn. The period that commenced on that date marked the destruction of the national security of this country. The national economy collapsed. The civility and culture deteriorated. The social welfare collapsed.

When asked whether the difference of last year was happy .... the MPs of course reply saying happy ... happy. But the masses have not felt so. I propose to the public, let's raise black flags from January 2nd to January 8th. Raise a black flag in your house, vehicle and let's convey the message that we don't like this era, we reject the path on which this government is proceeding. But within this environment of terror, if some fear is felt that a black Defender would come and abduct you because of raising the black flag .... we request you to turn the identity photo in your Facebook into a black flag.

We'll finish off the era of the 'Bayias' and 'Toyias' who divided this country in two, on 8th January in 2016. It's enough now that we argued by dividing ourselves into sections as 'Bayias' and 'Toyias'. It's more than enough that we lost our temper among each other. It's true that when 'Bayias' chose the Betel leaf, the 'Toyias' happened to choose the Swan. But it's the 'Toyias' who shout at the government and speak despondently at the government now, more than the 'Bayias'. Therefore, it's enough that 'Toyias' were subjected to ridicule .... reproached, cursed. Let's say goodbye to that period. It's because the common wish of the 'Toyias'  and the 'Bayias' is to see the end of this regime".
