It's not white vans we have now ... a Defender culture -- Mahinda

Former President expressed his opinion yesterday explaining the fact that a Defender vehicle has been used by security personnel of Mrs. Hirunika Premachandra to abduct a youth. Mahinda had said,

"It was for white vans that they said white van culture. Now of course there are no white vans. Now what we have is a Defender Culture". This was mentioned by Mahinda yesterday when surveying the new motor vehicle yard of Wasana Motors situated at Nagoda.

A few ideas expressed by the former President on that occasion are as follows:                                                                                                      "What do you'll think of Yahapalanaya? Ask the public whether Yahapalanaya is good. Now it can be seen in public no. There's nothing for me to tell the people as something new. The public can see. The public are intelligent. Now you can see the Defender issue. Six defendants have been taken into custody. One was not taken. At the next Local Government elections I'll be working to defeat the United National Party. If things go on like this .... United National Party can be defeated easily".
