It was a not a lady doctor  at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital who committed suicide

There had been a mistake made in publishing the news of the death of a lady doctor who had committed suicide on the 30th November by hanging onto a nylon rope to

the ceiling fan of her residence at Kalaloda , Talangama.The name of the lady doctor is Kalani Buddhika Jayasinghe 36 year old.

The correct occupation of the deceased had been informed to the media by the staff attached to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.    Kalani Buddhika Jayasinghe has been attached to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital as "Speech Therapist"  and not as  lady doctor and was a member of the medial staff of the Kalubowila Teaching hospital. Her duties were to attend to patients who have difficulties to speak after recoring from ailments due to many  factors.

After her death the police had found a letter written by her to her husband   saying that she cannot no longer bear the  severe tension she is undergoing after her confinement. Her second son is only four months old and the elder son is four years old. In   her letter she had requested her husband to look after the two sons after her death.

It has been revealed by doctors that some women suffer from tension after child birth  due to some hormone secreted they are subjected to drastic   changes in the  body which   becomes unbearable. She the deceased too has had such unbearable tension owing to changes in her body.
