Eight year old child burnt with a heated spoon for offence of taking Rs 20/-

The Anguruwathota Police has conducted investigations consequent to a complaint made at the Child Protection Authority to the affect that a 08 year old boy had been burnt with a heated spoon.

In the Anguruwathota Police division in Egalhena village this house was investigated at around 6  p.m  yesterday by the Police and they had observed that both hands of the  08 year old child been burnt with the aid of a heated spoon. The Police had taken the initiative to admit the 08 year old boy to the Horana hospital along with his mother.

The 08 tear old boy had been alleged to have robbed Rs 20/ from his  aunt and also had been accused for robbing a fish from her fish tank and she had punished the child in this manner by a heated spoon.The accused  a 38 year old  woman had been arrested by the Police and  is to be produced before the Magistrate on the 07th January 2016.

Anguruwathota Police is conducting all investigation.
