The media briefing postponed as the Avant Garde's Nissanka falls sick
The other day the President Maithripala Sirisena had ordered the Navy to take over the activities of the Avant Garde floating maritime Company. In this connection a media briefing had been
arranged on the 13th afternoon at the Grand Monark hotel in Talawatugoda headed by the retired Major Nissanka Senadipathi the Managing Director of the Avant Garde floating maritime Company to explain details of the activities which had been handed over to the Navy.
Last night a notice had been issued that the arranged media briefing had been postponed and that it would be held at a later date the Avant Garde Company had notified.
The reason had been as the health condition of the Managing Director Nissanka Senadipathy is not sound as he had not recovered fully from an operation which he had undergone in a hospital in Singapore on the 21st of October.This message had been notified by the authorities of the Avant Garde Company.
