Students at Open University who had broken into lecturer's office room and robbed computer parts nabbed

Three students of the Nawala Open University who  were caught when they had entered into a room of a lecturer in the night and had removed computer parts had been produced before the Nugegoda Chief Magistrate Kanishka
Wijeratne.The Chief Magistrate had warned them as a jail term would seriously hinder their education had given them a five year pardon period.

This pardon had been given as these students has had a clean record and not been convicted earlier.This was given to the students owing to the plea made by the attorney at law Vidura P Manchanayake, who had made this plea to the Chief magistrate as if they are punished would seriously jeopardise their careers in the Open University.

The Chief Magistrate had warned the three students that in the event they become suspects in a future incident would end in serious repercussions. They were give body bail of rupees five thousand each.
The chief security officer of the Nawala Open University AM Perera had complained to the Mirihana Police who had filed a case against the three suspect students after they were arrested
