Mahinda speaks about "Kondaya"

Former President, Kurunegala District Member of Parliament Mahinda Rajapaksa has made a statement to the Divaina newspaper and said that he is not at all satisfied with police investigation activities conducted over the death of Seya.

This is what he had said: "From that day onwards upto now if the police were to arrest those involved in kasippu, it is the small man who gets caught. In the case of drugs ... it's the fellow smoking it who gets caught. The big man gets away. Today, various opinions are circulating that capital punishment should be introduced. All kinds of stories are being said about the death of the small child Seya. It's said that Kondaya is involved in the murder. Then after that they say that not Kondaya ... but it's his elder brother. A schoolboy and a married man was accused. What is this that's happening? Under this situation, what will be the situation if capital punishment is enforced and implemented some day? As such, the question is as to who would go to gallows".
