The controversial video of a girl and two boys who came into the limelight recently across the media by talking about 'women harassment' came to an end after coming to Katunayaka Police saying that they have no issue about it and to find the person who released the video.

Both the girl and the boy who faced this incident had said that the two of them were lovers and were hoping to marry. The girl had even found fault with the media for having given publicity to the video. However, most of those who made comments as response to this statement over the Facebook and websites had spoken about the prejudice she would have to face if she was to get married to someone like this. But she is someone who is already married and who had left that marriage and is living with this lover together in the same house. Further information had been revealed about her to the police in this manner:

She was a 23 year old girl resident in Palukandava village in Galgamuwa. She had entered into her first marriage at the age of 16 in the year 2008. As a result of problems that have cropped up over that marriage she had abandoned it and come to Maduwapitiya in Katunayaka to stay at a boarding-house in the year 2014. Since she was able to secure employment in a garment factory there it was after that she had made an alliance with this said lover who was boarded closeby and was working in the same garment factory. By this time though the two of them have not got married they had rented out a house in Raddolugama area and were living together in that house. They had in fact told the police that they are contemplating legally marrying each other in the future.

The birthday of the lover boy had fallen on November 15th 2014 and they had on that day gone on a trip with some friends of theirs to Maduwa river. A boozing party had gone on there in a land nearby and it was a friend of theirs who was there had in fact videoed the occasion. She had told the police that she had on that occasion reprimanded her lover not to take arrak and that he assaulted her at that point. Whatever it is, she further said that it however was a minor hassle and the issue ended there itself and that both of them could not even remember it. She and her lover then said that at a recent time the video of that incident had been stolen by somebody at a repairing centre and had been released to the internet.

Because of this incident becoming spotlighted, a crowd at the garment factory had beat the boy and one of his eyes was swollen too. It was after their private video thus caught the eye of the public that they had decided to go to the police. But he had not complained about the assault.
