Geetha to the special Police Investigation Unit
The Member of Parliament Geetha Kumarasinghe has been summoned to the special Police Investigating Unit.
The reason is that while she was having a Switzerland Citizenship she had contested for the last Parliamentary elections. Hence she has had dual citizenship. A complaint had been lodged with the special Police investigation unit. She had been summoned to obtain a statement from her in this regard.
In relation to this she is also having another case at the Appeal courts. According to Member of Parliament Geetha Kumarasinghe she is not having dual citizenship status.
