42, ancient monuments found from Dambulla

In the new excavations made by the officials of the central cultural fund in the Ibbankotuwa, Dambulla cemetery they have found 42 ancient monuments.

It has been revealed that these monuments are over 2600 years old and are supposed to be before the era of "Vijayagamana".This had been in terms of the culture that prevailed during that era before " Vijayagamana".

These excavations are been done  and this information revealed by the central cultural fund.
