Lakshman Seneviratne to enter parliament for Charmara's vacancy
Charmara Sampath Dasanayake was elected to parliament from the Uva province.However he has vacated his seat after he was sworn in as the new ChiefMinister of Uva province by the President.
The next highest preferential votes of 42,354 had been gained from Moneragala district by the former Minister of Sugar Lakshman Seneviratne.Hence he is to selected to the seat made vacant by Charmara Sampath Dasanayake.
