We contested only to gain publicity-Galabodaththe Gnanasara Thera

The Bodu Bala Sena organisation who contested under the name Bodu Jana Front in this concluded general election was unable to win a single seat in the parliament.

Speaking to a week end newspaper the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena Organisation Venerable Galabadaaththe Gnanasara Thera had commented that they were quite aware that they would not win a single seat.

But we contested to send the message to the people of their work on hand they propose to  perform.By this act we received a colossal publicity.

There were rumours that we collected huge sums of money. But the little money we received from volunteers is valued by us.The thera reiterated that in future too their Bodu Bala Organisation would be involved in politics but have no hopes of affiliating to any other party,in our journey in future.
