Tomorrow’s swear in ceremony postponed-It is now on the 2nd September

The swear in ceremony of the Ministers of the UNP only had been fixed for tomorrow. The members of the both UNP and

UPFA have had long discussions and had now arrived at a compromise.’

It is now learnt that the Parliament would initially meet on the 1at of September traditionally and then the Ministers would be sworn in.It is now learnt that the number of Ministers would be restricted to 45 much more that what was anticipated.

This is because a proposal in this regard need to be proposed and seconded as a custom in the parliament was added by the President of the UNP Malik Samarawickrema.
