Former Minister Gamini Lokuge who is supposed to be a supporter of Mahinda
Rajapaksa was present at the election rally which he addressed last evening and made the statement, "today the public is rallying round to make Ranil the winner on the 17th".
Though this was a slip of the tongue he did not become aware of it until those around him showed their response. On that occasion when he made this blunder they were astounded and started saying "Mahinda ..... Mahinda" and wanted him to rectify it; and then he gulped down his statement and said giving the impression that he made a mistake stating, " .... to bring victory to Mahinda".
