showed his private parts to tuition girl

Ragama Police arrested a rugger instructor who had made an indecent proposal to a schoolgirl

who had been going to a tuition class recently. As reported, the incident is as follows. A beautiful 15 year old schoolgirl from Kendaliyedda area in Ganemulla had been walking along a gravel path on her way to a tuition class. On that occasion a person who is said to be a rugger instructor had come behind her in a modern Hybrid type of vehicle and had put the shutters down inquiring how he could go to Ganemulla Army Camp. The student who then adorned herself with a smile at the handsome man who came in the vehicle had directed him asking him to go down the same road and after turning and going along the road on the other side finally ended up saying that her tuition class too is near it. At that moment the instructor had queried, "are you also going there?" to which she had answered in the affirmative. As such the instructor had volunteered to give her a 'lift'. The student who agreed to the suggestion had got into the vehicle of this instructor.

The instructor who invited the girl to get in front having noticed that she was going to get in from the back then had travelled a short distance and all at once had swerved to a lonely road where nobody was in sight. The girl who got frightened on that occasion had said, "that's not the road I said ... where's this you are trying to go?"  At that point the instructor who got into an indecent mood had removed his trousers in her presence itself and had tried to sexually molest her. The girl who was already scared let out a shout and promptly pushed him aside and had been successful in darting out of the vehicle finally being able to get hold of the person in the vehicle with the supporters nearby.

After the police was notified the police managed to come there and take the rugger instructor into their custody. It was reported that this rugger instructor was serving at a private firm and was in no way connected to the army and on the day of the incident had been coming to impart instructions for those engaged in exercises at the Ganemulla Army Camp.

The police said that legal action would be taken against the suspect under the offence of sexual harassment. The suspect is expected to be produced before Mahara Magistrate's Court.
