LOVER WHO MOLESTED AND TOOK PHOTOS AND DISPLAYED THEM ON FACEBOOK ....

FOR HAVING LEFT CAMPUS LOVE-AND MARRIED ON PROPOSAL!

The Criminal Investigation Department took into custody a student from Rajarata University for having raped a Medical student of the same university
and for having taken nude photographs of this student and later publishing them across the internet.  

It was revealed in courts that this young man was her former lover. What has been mentioned in the complaint by this young girl who was subjected to this sexual molestation was that she was a Medical student who was studying in her final year and that she had started a love affair with this suspected campus lover around the year 2013. Because of various incompatibilities she had been compelled to give up the affair.  Whatever it is, according to a proposal brought forward by her parents she had registered the marriage with another in January 2015.    

After this decision, she says that her former lover had begun to cause worry to her from time to time. During the time her Medical Student Training period was being conducted at Anuradhapura General Hospital, he had come within the premises of Anuradhapura Hospital and had forcibly made her get into a three-wheeler and had taken her to a room in a hotel in Anuradhapura itself, she says. He had threatened her there and even gone to the extent of making her nude and had sexually molested her. Later he had let her in the lurch. The Medical student had made a resolution not to spill information about this having thought of the damaging consequences she would have to face if this went into the ears of her newly wedded husband.

Whatever it is, she had not stopped at the threatening nature of her former lover either. Last April he had forwarded some of her nude photos to her by e-mail and had asked her to leave her marriage partner and to continue with the sexual activities with him. He had then also threatened that if she would not come to him he would forward those photos to the Facebook across the internet. Whatever it is, she had not acceded to his request and then as an act of revenge he had released those nude photos to the internet. He had in fact created a graphic art with these nude photos of the Medical student and photos that depicted her as a Medical student and with a combination of other photos had exchanged them so that they could be viewed by her friends and her husband as well.

The CID informed courts that the petitioner had forwarded those computer copies so published or displayed, together with the complaint. The CID has mentioned that a methodical investigation has been conducted over the photos so displayed according to the computer copies concerned. It was revealed at courts that clear evidence is available that a harassment has been done to the petitioner by the photos that depicted the girl crying and lying in the nude unconsciously in the hotel room which photos had been released and publicized via e-mail.

The CID informed courts that they were able to take into their custody after arresting the suspect and interrogating him, the digital camera which he had used for this crime, the laptop computer, the mobile phone and a tool used for depositing data.

The suspected former lover is being kept under remand until 7th August according to orders of Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Gihan Pilapitiya.
