Lalkantha resigned not for an issue of a National list—It is mud slinging

The JVP Colombo district candidate  KD Lalkantha who had resigned from his position of Western provincial council member has nothing

to with the non election of him from the National list to the parliament. This news spread as a rumours has been denied by him saying it is only ‘mud’.

This rumour was spread widely in the morning had not been the cause as he was not nominated from the national list was confirmed by the colleague Vijitha Herath.

It is learnt that he has handed over his letter of resignation from the Western Provincial council on the 10th August before the election ans the reason was that he wanted to spend his entire time on teade union activities as he if continued to remain in the WPC his work as a trade union activist would be terribly hampered.
