Under a Mahinda Rajapaksa government minimum wage of state employee would be Rs 25000/-
At an election propaganda meeting held before
the forthcoming parliamentary general election, in the Kuliyapitiya area the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa while addressing had said that under his proposed government the minimum wage of a state employee would be raised up to rupees twenty five thousand.
He had added that before the presidential election although it was promised that a sum of rupees ten thousand was promised to be increased they received only rupees seven thousand only which made them helpless. The former President b had said in order to restore their pride the minimum salaries would be raised to rupees twenty five thousand.
