Former president to make a postal voting
It has been reported that the former President would be casting his vote in this year’s
parliamentary general election through the facility of postal voting system. Hitherto he had been casting his vote at Tangalle from his Madamulana base. However this time around owing to the propping of a practical issue as he is contesting from the Kurunegala district he has to cast his vote through the facility of the postal voting system.
The postal voting facility is to be arranged country wide in the first week of August it is reported. It has been confirmed that he has intentions of adopting to the postal facility and it has been confirmed that he is to get this facility as travelling to Tangalle on the election day would be a hassle.
