The media personnel harassed for taking photos of distorted national flags

It is reported the media personnel had been able
to view the distorted national flags that were hung at the election propaganda meeting held in Yatinuwara in the Kurunegala district for campaigning for the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The media personnel were not allowed to capture photographs of these distorted national flags. When they tried to take photographs the security personnel of the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had forcibly taken them away to a corner until such time the distorted national flags hung up were removed.

It is reported that the police surety personnel had threatened the media personnel not to take photographs of those flags. However the photographs of the flags have been published in a web site of the Lankadeepa, which  are shown here.
