Toddler one and half years old evades mother dies after falling into a well

In the St.Clair division of Weli Oya estate in Hatton a small child one and a half years old had fallen into an unprotected farm well and died. This incident had occurred yesterday the 10th instant at around 4 p.m.

The mother of the toddler one and half years old had been playing with him and for a moment when she had the looked the other way the toddler had gone away and fallen into the unprotected farm well.

When the toddler was found missing the neighbours had made a search and had found him inside the well and was pronounced dead.

The dead child by name is Nayaga Krishalan who is the third child in the family.
