Vass who resigned from position of National Fast Bowling Coach to Australia

At the end of April after completion of the two year contract

period which commenced in 2013 which ended with the World Cup 2015, the Sri Lankan renowned pace bowler Chaminda Vass had not renewed his contract with the Sri Lanka Cricket as the fast bowling coach. The period of contract was for only two years.

Many were several opinions published for the reason that Chaminda Vass had not renewed his contract .Some expressed views that he was frustrated over the activities at the SLC.

However the reason was that he intends prolonging his bowling coaching experience in Brisbane, Australia as a third level coach for three years. In this respect he would be living in Brisbane during this period.

It is learnt that he is invited by some countries like New Zealand.But it is not certain how his future plans would be laid.
