President has agreed confidentially to give Mahinda post of Prime Minister - Vasu

At a press briefing held at the Narahenpita Abhayarama temple former Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara had quipped that in the
forthcoming general election it is certain that a Sri Lanka Freedom Party is to triumph and it would be under the leadership of the SLFP leader and President Maithripala Sirisena. Hence the most appropriate decision would be to make former president Mahinda Rajapaksa the next Prime Minister.

For that move we are all agreeable, the former Minister Vasudeva Nayakkara had quipped. For this decision president Maithripala Sirisena has also consented. This matter, Vasudeva Nanayakkara had said was a very reasonable decision.

In contrary Minister Rajitha Senaratne had quipped that this proposal is as begging for the post of Prime Minister. This is the negative approach of their attitude he had added. He also had said in that case they are prepared to drop Rajitha Senaratna and go ahead with their plans. He also had said they will do their best to achieve their aim.

He also had said that President Maithripala Sirisena had agreed to this proposal privately but not had disclosed it in an official capacity.
