Mahinda still travels in a convoy of 12 vehicles

The other day a special ceremony to invoke blessings on dead war heroes was organised

under the leadership of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Homagama Pitipana Uththraramaya Viharaya.

It is reported that former president had come in a convoy of 12 new latest luxury vehicles.The convoy of vehicles was led by two Jeeps followed by two Benz vehicles 2014 latest model and two BMW vehicles. These were followed by a Audi car and two Toyota Prado Jeeps. These were followed by Mitsubishi Montero and Jaguar cars.

It is also reported that upon his arrival there had been a number of police personnel carrying T 56 rifles had been on guard around the temple premises. It is also reported that there were police vehicles from Athurugiriya,Maharagama,Homagama and Nugegoda-Mihihana police stations had been parked inside the temple premises. It is reported that about 40 police personnel had been in the temple premises at that moment.
