Kirama Thera via frustration quits as President of Bodu Bala Sena

The President of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation Venarable  Kirama Wimalajothi thera has resigned

from the post of president of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation and from all activities of the Bodu Bala Sena Organisation. He had cited as he was really frustrated with the politicising of the activities of the organisation which had crept into it.

Kirama Wimalajothi thera had written to the General Secretary Galbadaaththe Gnanasara thera that he is resigning as he is not happy  with the path and activities of the organisation.

He had emphasised that from the period when Burma’s Virathu thera visited Sri Lanka for the summit he had seen that it is becoming more political. It had commenced to eradicate pseudo Buddha’s, bogus money collectors and fake book publishers and now it is more tilted as a political party.

These reasons has made the thera to bid ‘adieu ‘to the Bodu Bala Sena organisation.
