Dilan, CB, Pavithra and Mahinda Yapa quit ministerial portfolios

Just a little while ago today the 21st instant four Members of

the United Party Freedom Alliance who were offered Ministerial portfolios in the national government Dilan Perera,C.B Ratnayake,Pavithra Vanniarachchi and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena have resigned from their ministerial portfolios.

These resignations had been made at a meeting of the SLFP had at the media briefing held at the premises of the office of the Opposition leader’s office.The reason for their resignations has been cited as despite requests made by the party not dissolve the local government bodies.But they were dissolved in an illegal manner.The other reason is that the government is lethargic in regard to having new elections for local government bodies.
