Parliament traditions flouted by Members wearing sarongs and casual wear at ‘Satyagraha’

The former General Secretary of the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya, K.D.Mendis has been furious on the incident that had taken place within the parliament last night. The Members who had protested in a satyagraha inside the parliament on the red carpet had been wearing sarongs and clad in casual wear. By acting in such a manner they had tarnished the good image and broke all traditions of the house.By doing such an act they had made a huge damage not done by any member in the annals of history of the parliament.

K.D Mendis had further quipped that it is very surprising as the Speaker had kept silent in this instance.
