Mahinda will not participate in any May Day rally
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has made it very clear to all his dear followers that he has no intentions to attend either the proposed May
rally of the SLFP do be held at Hyde Park or the rally organised by 08 parties of the affiliated UPFA to be held at the Kirulapone. The joint united rally is to be held by the Samasaja, Communist, Wimal’s and the joint trade union Balamandala parties. However the former President would only be sending messages of good wishes to both rallies.
The reason for this has been conveyed to those Members of Parliament who visited his ‘Carlton’ home in the New Year period as due to the reason that the new government has retrenched on political grounds, many new recruits who were given employment by his government.
