Gota to the Bribery Commission today
The former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has been summoned today the 23rd
instant to obtain further statements on the activities of the floating armouries Rakna Lanka Ltd and Avante Garde pvt ltd.
The former defence secretary had quizzed that he had been summoned to the office of the Bribery and corruption investigating commission to obtain further statements from him.
It is learnt that a massive demonstration had been organised by the Leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya , Member of the western provincial council ,Udaya Gammanpila with the participation of a number of political and civil organisations in front of the office of the Bribery and Corruption investigating unit at 8.30 a.m today.
However as per a court order obtained by the Police media office from the Chief Magistrate of the Magistrates Courts, such protests have been banned from today.
