For every SLFP election list, a female graduate a must - Chandrika

Addressing a meeting of the development

officers’ society in Colombo former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga had pledged that in future for every SLFP list of candidates for every election from the provincial councils to general election a name of a female graduate would be included.

She had said that there are about one hundred and fifty thousand development officers Development officers in the country. Her intention is to commence an exercise to have more intellectuals and educated to come to active politics.
