Mahinda does not believe in Astrology now

A Pakistani media reporter had visited former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Tangalle at his

‘Carlton’ residence. She has had only five minutes to spend with the former President. During the brief meeting she had asked our former President whether he believes in what the astrologers say. He had replied loudly and smilingly that he has no further belief in astrology.

The Pakistani woman astrologer after returning to Pakistan had published what our former President had said about his belief in astrology in the ‘Doan’ newspaper in Pakistan. She had also mentioned in her article that the former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi too had been misled by astrologers in the year 1977 when she too lost in the India election. This news item had appeared in our local newspapers as well as web sites.
