Former President of Maldives sentenced to 13 years imprisonment

The former president of Maldives’ Islands Mohamed Nasheed has been sentenced to 13
years imprisonment for been proved guilty of keeping a judge in house arrest in the year 2012 when he was the president.

In the trial of the particular case he was guilty as there had been more than sufficient amount of evidences.

In the year 2008 with the appointment of Mohamed Nasheed , the monopoly administration of the then president Abdul Gayoom was brought to an end.
