Jayalath Manorathna wins award for ‘Best Actor’ at Delhi film festival

Sri Lanka’s renowned actor Jayalath Manorathna has won the ‘Best Actor’s’ award at the Delhi film

festival. The award was for his acting in the main role in the film’ Suwasi Vivaranaya’ directed by Sarath Dharmasiri.

This was incidentally the very first occasion that Jayalath Manorathna  had portrayed a main role in a film. Famous actress Chandani Seneviratne had portrayed the female lead role opposite Jayalath Manorathna.

The story of this film revolves around the traditional lives of innocent villagers in a remote village.
