Fonseka’s case against Ketagoda thrown away.
The leader of the Democratic Party Sarath Fonseka lost his seat he held in Parliament when
his civil rights were withdrawn. The deputy leader of the Democratic Party Jayantha Ketagoda was offered this seat in Parliament. After change of government his civil rights were restored. But Jayantha Ketagoda has failed to hand over seat back.Hence the leader of the Democratic party Sarath Fonseka had filed a case against Ketagoda in the supreme courts.
This case was heard on the 09th instant by two Judges in the Supreme Court comprising of Vijith Malalgoda and H.C.A Madawela on the bench. But the case was thrown away by them. However against the verdict given by the two Judges Sarath Fonseka could make an appeal and for it he has time till the 27th of this month.
