Emir of the State of Qatar to Sri Lanka

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is to arrive in Sri Lanka this afternoon at 1.30 p.m. The Emir will

be welcomed at a special ceremony organised at the presidential secretariat premises.The purpose of the visit is twofold.Firstly for strengthening the already existing business relationships and secondly the Emir will have talks with the officials of the foreign ministry at the presidential secretariat for bilateral talks.

The already existing business relationships would be discussed with the President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, Mangala Samaraweera  and other government officials at the presidential secretariat.The Emir of the state of Qatar will be accompanied by 10 ministers of the government of Qatar and would stay only for a few hours and due to leave today itself.
