Anura Senanayake bids 'adieu' to Police today

The senior DIG of police Anura Senanayake who for his excellent service  which were considered

indispensable and as he rendered yeoman service to the police had been give a few extensions even beyond the age of 60 years. However with the grant of his last extension he was allowed to continue his services until the 07 of July.However before that date he had opted to leave from his services and bid adieu from the police services and is due to go on pension today the 17th instant.

It is learnt that a sending off farewell has been organised for him at the police headquarters in Colombo.It is pertinent to mention that he had quite recently become a billionaire when a song 'mage kirilli' sung by him had become a 'hit' and sold 'hot' at an alarimg rate his album which was in the market.He had very generously donated out of these funds a sum of rupees one million to the police vanitha sewa unit.
